Stuff I need to Blog About

Posted January 13th, 2006 at 3:27 pm by Howard Tayler

So… is chupaqueso.com here to stay, or is it just a flash in the pan (pun obviously intended). Are you wondering whether you should keep checking back?

Well, here’s a short list of things I need to blog about. I don’t have a schedule, but we DO have an RSS feed (allowing you to nudge a bookmark and see what’s new without linking in):

Speculate all you want on these topics, but know that I’ve got enough to say on each of them that I won’t be commenting in response. But I will say that the Chocolate Chupaqueso was the brain child of none other than Steve Jackson.

I was there for the Chocolate Chupaqueso. It was good folks and I promise not to reveal any secrets. Could we call it Chocochupaqueso?

Christine, I don’t see how - unless it’s with at least 3 different kinds of chocolate. But how to get the shell to come out right….. I just don’t know…..

I suppose there must still be cheese for it to be a chupaqueso.

Oh, I don’t see how, either. But I wait with great anticipation.

If I can have cheese or chocolate fondue, why not both at once? And toasted?

Incidentally the scum of toasted cheese that forms at the bottom of a cheese fondue is called “The Nun”. It is very chupaqueso-ish.

I get approval on the state of the kitchen before you take any photos for sharing. That way we can fool all these nice people into thinking that our kitchen is always spotless.

This is the WRONG blog for me to be visiting while my jaw is wired shut. So hungry…

Directed here from LJ “Food-Porn”! I have been doing experimentation with old and new “teflonoid” pans as well as my beloved cast iron.

Please keep this site up. I’m enjoying your blog. La Vida Lo-Carb has been so much better since I found you.

Thanks for the kind words, Susan.

Instead of teflonoid (which includes a trademark) you could say “paftenoid.” The name of the compound of which teflon is a brand is abbreviated “PFTE.” Granted, nobody will know what you’re talking about, but “paftenoid” still has a neat ring to it.

Rest assured, the site will stay up.

    Sorry… You’re close, but it’s PTFE: Polytetrafluoroethylene.

Which I guess would make it “pitfenoid”?

The family is typically referred to as fluoropolymers.

    Anyhow, more cheese!
